Pebbles shortlisted for BCFA OPEN Innovation Award

One of the products shortlisted by us for the BCFA OPEN Innovation Award is the collection designed by Ronel Jordaan of The Modern garden Company. This collection is called “Pebbles & Rocks” but you won’t want to skim these!Ronel Jordaan’s acclaimed collection of pebbles and rocks add a ‘cool’ edge to every space. Recently supplied to SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies), these fabulous pieces create a fun, as well as functional, space indoors and outdoors.

Handcrafted in South Africa, they are made from recycled, crushed plastic bottles to create the core structure. Wool is then woven to build up the shape and size of the ‘pebble’, ‘rock’ or ‘boulder’. It is then coated in sap from the lacquer tree to make it water resistant.
