Diamond Valley College is a public co-educational school in Diamond Creek, Victoria, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia, formed in 1989 and currently educates 750 pupils aged 11 – 18. It draws students from a range of distinct and diverse communities. BCFA member Ferco provided seating for their auditorium.
The College has established programs to foster the school core values of respect, responsibility and excellence. The school’s buildings have been maintained in excellent condition and facilities include a fenced set of all-weather tennis courts, an attractive Wellbeing Centre, an internal gym, and the Community Bank Stadium next door.
Part of the school’s vision is to provide a stimulating learning environment where students have increased levels of challenge, cognitive engagement and independence with high expectations for their personal performance and future.
As part of their ongoing commitment to student facilities, a major refurbishment programme began in 2018. Ferco was engaged to provide seating for the school’s new performing arts theatre.
Designed by Maddison Architects, the theatre has 155 Pacific seats. The Pacific auditorium seat is comfortable and extremely durable. Its compact envelope allows for easy access and egress and is perfect for an educational setting. The seats were upholstered to tie in with overall aesthetic of the space which used cool colour tones and geometric shapes to create a visually pleasing effect.
