Elevating Summer: Inside Commercial Interiors UK’s Vibrant Gathering at The Gherkin
Design Insider had the pleasure of joining Commercial Interiors UK (CIUK) for their reimagined summer celebration on 3rd July 2025, which took the industry to new heights at London’s iconic Gherkin. Moving away from the familiar BBQ format, CIUK delivered an elevated evening that brought the commercial interiors community together for a night of connection, conversation, and celebration.
The sold-out event welcomed 250 designers, suppliers, and industry leaders who gathered to enjoy panoramic 360° views across London while reconnecting with colleagues and forging new connections.
Guests were greeted with cocktails on arrival—including Hugo Spritz and Espresso Martinis—and a stunning sunset over the city added an unplanned but unforgettable backdrop.
A live DJ set the tone as guests enjoyed a relaxed, buzzing atmosphere, moving easily between conversations about current projects, design challenges, and exciting developments.
The curated bowl food by Searcys encouraged guests to continue networking without interruption.
It was clear that CIUK’s choice to reimagine its summer event resonated with attendees, who shared how the combination of location, informal structure, and considered hospitality made this gathering stand out on the busy summer calendar.
The evening was made possible with the support of sponsors PS Interiors and Seltex Wallcoverings, whose commitment to the industry reflects the spirit of collaboration that underpinned the event.
