Hospitality interiors aren’t just changing aesthetically, they’re being redefined at a deeper level.

In a conversation with Dynamic Contract Furniture’s Managing Director, Peter Carter, a clear shift emerges in how designers and operators are approaching furniture specification in 2026.

The focus is no longer on creating visually striking spaces alone. Instead, there’s a growing emphasis on how interiors feel, how they perform over time and how they support the overall experience of a space.

We’re seeing warmer, more grounded colour palettes replacing cooler tones. Softer, curved forms are taking the place of rigid geometries. Modular furniture is becoming essential as spaces adapt throughout the day. And perhaps most notably, there’s a renewed appreciation for craftsmanship and longevity.

But these shifts aren’t purely aesthetic.

Built on relationships, shaped by experience. What sets a furniture procurement business apart in a competitive market?

Design Insider recently spent the day with HRH Contract Furniture Procurement, working from the Concept Loft and speaking with Managing Director J-P Macrow about the journey behind the business.

What emerged was a clear sense of a company that has grown through trust, practical experience and bold decisions. From its Yorkshire base to the Chair Barn and Concept Loft, every part of HRH reflects a business designed around connection, usability and giving clients confidence in the team behind the procurement process.

As Alys Bryan observed, HRH is not trying to be the loudest. Instead, it is creating an experience that feels thoughtful, welcoming and genuine.

“HRH Contract Furniture may have grown steadily, but it does not feel static. It feels energised, ambitious and open to what is next.”

Same form, completely different mood.

Mullan Lighting introduces three new ceramic finishes to its Rivale collection, Rust Iron, Oatstone and Metallic Earth, each shifting the tone, texture and presence of the piece within a space.

From darker, more grounded finishes to softer, tonal expressions, it’s a subtle reminder of how materiality can shape atmosphere just as much as form.
