One of the last things we shared in 2025 was a Studio Tour of ABDA Design. And if you missed it while enjoying the festive cheer… that would be a real shame!

Nestled within a beautifully restored 19th-century chapel on the Althorp estate, ABDA’s studio reflects everything the practice stands for: character, collaboration and considered design. Now under the joint leadership of Claire Smith and Richard Steade, the studio is entering a new chapter while staying rooted in its heritage.

A few highlights from the tour:

- A studio shaped by storytelling, psychology and collaboration, with hospitality at its heart

- A close-knit team of 12 designers working in a light-filled, countryside setting designed to spark creativity

- Recent projects spanning university spaces, branded hotels and immersive fine dining venues

- A strong commitment to mentoring, training and celebrating emerging talent across the studio

- From street-food-inspired university cafés to voco® hotel refurbishments and destination dining spaces, ABDA’s work is united by one goal: creating environments that spark joy, emotion and memorable experiences.

If you missed it first time round, now’s your chance to step inside the studio and meet the people behind the projects.
