Farmhouse flair defines NFU Mutual HQ with Amtico LVT
In the Warwickshire village of Tiddington, NFU Mutual’s headquarters has been reimagined through a three-phase breakout-space overhaul by Tom Franklin and Tess Johnson at D3 Design Ltd. Charged with weaving the insurer’s rural heritage into a modern workplace, the team turned to Amtico and its luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring to deliver both the rustic-chic aesthetic and the resilience required for high-traffic corporate hospitality areas.
Phase 1: A Limestone Welcome
Upon arrival, visitors and staff are greeted at a refreshment point framed by Amtico Signature’s Wilmcote Limestone laid in a Broken Bond pattern. The soft-grey tones echo the building’s original industrial shell, while the brickwork-inspired layout ushers guests towards pops of NFU Mutual yellow, reinforcing brand identity right from the start
Phase 2: Farmhouse Breakout
Moving beyond the reception, the second space channels a ‘farmhouse kitchen’ ambience. Here, Amtico Décor’s Classic Argent (DC294) pattern combines Onyx Marble, Kura Caraway and Stria Volcanic tiles to form intimate seating nooks. The muted palette and clear zoning make this area both inviting and easy to navigate – far from an impersonal lounge, it feels homely and purposeful.
Phase 3: A Country-Chic Deli Bar
The final phase introduces a vibrant in-house deli bar: a multifunctional space for meals, meetings and moments of respite. Wilmcote Limestone returns here, paired with the soft neutrals of DC294 Classic Argent. Together, they evoke the crisp freshness of a farm shop – bright, welcoming and endlessly practical. This seamless blend of the Signature and Décor collections showcases how Amtico flooring brings together aesthetic flair with the durability needed for high-traffic workplace and hospitality areas.
