Legado, the Spanish concept from Michelin-starred chef Nieves Barragán Mohacho and JKS Restaurants, has quickly become known not only for its culinary ambition but also for its striking design. Legado sits in one of East London’s most dynamic new developments. The restaurant’s name, meaning “legacy” in Spanish, perfectly captures its ambition to create a dining destination that celebrates tradition while embracing the vibrancy of Shoreditch.
To help deliver on that vision, Inside Out Contracts were chosen as a premiere furniture partner, tasked with supplying a collection of unique loose furniture pieces that could bring the narrative to life while meeting the demands of a high-profile hospitality setting.

Adding Warmth with Jumbo Terrazzo
The brief extended beyond practicality. The furniture needed to withstand the intensity of a bustling restaurant, but it also had to reinforce the restaurant’s story, weaving Spanish heritage into the raw, contemporary language of Shoreditch. One element in particular that captures this essence is a statement material that would unite the palette of terracotta, rustic wood and deep green leather, while also creating a talking point in the dining room.

That statement came in the form of the Jumbo Terrazzo Terracotta table top. With its earthy base tones and oversized terrazzo fragments, it instantly recalled sun-drenched Spanish landscapes while also feeling bold and urban. Inside Out Contracts supplied these distinctive tables and worked closely with the project team to ensure the rich tones connect seamlessly with the green banquettes, warm timber seating and terracotta tiling.

Alongside the terrazzo tables, Inside Out Contracts created a range of seating including upholstered armchairs that brought elegance and comfort, side chairs and bar stools which added versatility. Each piece was selected not simply to fill the room, but to contribute to the story of Legado itself.
A Bespoke Touch: Slate and Oak Tables
Another standout feature in Legado’s furniture story is the bespoke table designed with a solid oak frame and slate insert. Supplied by Inside Out Contracts, the table goes beyond its role as a dining surface, the slate doubles as a chalkboard, allowing menu options and specials to be written directly onto the table top.
