Jolie redefines luxury residential living through design of Victoria Riverside in Manchester

London and Manchester-based design studio Jolie is proud to announce its partnership with Far East Consortium ‘FEC’ on the design concept of Victoria Riverside, a new residential development in Manchester which comprises 634 new homes across three towers – Crown View, Park View and City View.

Pioneers in luxury and sensory-led design, Jolie has brought to life the shared facilities across each tower, including a state-of-the-art gym, hotel-feel lobby areas, a residents’ lounge and landscaped podium gardens – with access for both open-market sale and shared ownership residents.

Looking to redefine what it means to offer luxury living through a wellbeing lens, Jolie’s thoughtfully considered interiors are a departure from the traditional design of commercial residential spaces. Taking a hospitality-driven, multi-sensory approach to the design of the amenity spaces, Jolie allows residents to foster deeper connections with their home, and the wider Victoria Riverside community.

Each lobby area boasts varying shades of natural wood panelling, bespoke lighting installations, and biophilic design elements. Grounding colour palettes distinct to each tower instil a sense of tranquillity upon entrance, and are complemented by the soft curves of designer furniture, high-end finishings, and bespoke joinery. The residential lounge in City View offers an uplifting and collaborative environment, featuring light shades of timber and deep red upholstery throughout the co-working booths and bar area.

Central to Jolie’s vision is an understanding of how spaces influence emotions. Bespoke soundscaping and fragrancing are an inspired addition to each communal area, working to cultivate feelings of calm, creativity, and community to further elevate the resident experience.

Franky Rousell, Founder of Jolie shares:

“Our goal was to create a residential environment that goes beyond the conventional, one that truly resonates with how people want to feel in their everyday spaces. As wellbeing becomes increasingly central to how we live, design must consider all the senses. Jolie is thrilled to offer an experience that feels simultaneously intuitive, invigorating, and deeply nurturing.”

Victoria Riverside is one of several major projects currently being delivered across Victoria North, a joint venture that will reshape 155 hectares of former industrial land and increase Manchester’s population by 40,000 over the next decade. As the first development in the Red Bank neighbourhood, which plans to deliver over 5,000 homes and offer wild urbanism in its green spaces, it marks the start of a major new residential district taking shape.

Residents have begun moving into their new homes in Park View and will soon follow at City View as the first phase of the programme, with Crown View completing later this year.

Hilary Brett, Development Director at FEC, shares:

“Welcoming our first residents to Victoria Riverside is an incredibly proud moment for the partnership and a major milestone for Victoria North. This development reflects our shared commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable homes and communities at pace and scale – we’re excited to see life begin to take root here in Red Bank.”

“Victoria Riverside is a place designed to foster community, creativity and connectivity. Partnering with Jolie to amplify this has been truly transformative for the project.”

Utilising their distinct sensory-led design approach, Jolie is proud to set a new benchmark for future residential developments in Manchester and beyond.
