NSInteriors and Spires Art Launch Bespoke Feng Shui Artwork Collection for Hospitality Design

Following a presentation titled “Feng Shui for Hospitality” at the Global Hospitality Talk Conference at Raffles in March 2025, Nicholas Sunderland, Founder of NSInteriors, was approached by Colm Mac Rory, Managing Director of Spires Art, to collaborate on the creation of a dedicated series of Feng Shui artworks for the hospitality industry.

Norte, 100 x 100cm

Working in close collaboration, the pair produced a total of 24 bespoke artworks, each aligned with one of the eight compass sectors used in Feng Shui. Every piece was individually designed as an abstract composite, combining the elemental energies required to create balance and bringing all necessary Feng Shui elements into a single artwork.

Developed as both a design tool and educational resource, the collection gives interior designers, architects, and studios an additional elemental layer that can be integrated seamlessly into hospitality schemes. Each artwork is intended to enhance and strengthen Feng Shui balance within a property, regardless of overall design style.

While created with hotels and cruise lines in mind, the artworks are equally suited to residential environments, offering carefully colour-balanced pieces designed for both public and private spaces. The collection is available internationally in numbered editions of 97, with multiple size options to support coordinated specification across wider design concepts and multi-space applications.

Personal guidance on artwork placement and location can also be provided upon request, supporting designers in positioning works with confidence that Feng Shui principles will remain effective regardless of broader design decisions.

South, 100 x 100cm

Each piece is signed, stamped and numbered, produced on either canvas or specialist fine art paper, and mounted on acoustic, unglazed foam board to support sound absorption and contribute to healthier, more harmonious interiors. Once each edition run is complete, new artworks will be commissioned to preserve the rarity, collectability, and long-term value of the series.

Nicholas Sunderland commented:

“I was delighted when Colm Mac Rory from Spires Art approached me to create a series of Feng Shui artworks. I’d often painted for individual projects, but welcomed the opportunity to reach a wider audience. It’s another way the Feng Shui School can get across the unique way we can manipulate energy in a design in a totally positive way.”

Colm Mac Rory added:

“Collaborating with Nicholas Sunderland has been a genuinely inspiring experience. At Spires Art, our intention is always to create work that carries meaning, balance, and energy—not just beauty.

Working with Nicholas allowed us to translate the principles of Feng Shui into artworks that people can live with every day, bringing positive energy into spaces on a much wider scale. It’s a powerful example of how art and design can work together to uplift both environments and the people within them.”

The full collection is currently showcased on the NSInteriors website, while Spires Art is in the process of updating its own online platforms. A dedicated marketing and social media campaign is scheduled to launch shortly.
