Luma Mirrors Sets Sail into the Marine Sector with a leading Cruise Liner Cabin Renovation

In their latest project, Luma Mirrors competed a roll out refurbishment across 149 guest cabin bathrooms for a leading cruise liner. The team was responsible for delivering illuminated bathroom mirrors, solid surface marble-effect vanities, and laminated shelves.
Each guest cabin bathroom was fitted with bespoke front illuminated bathroom mirrors, manufactured from marine grade stainless steel and finished with safety backing for enhanced durability. In addition, Luma supplied marble effect vanities with integrated accessories, as well as durable laminated shelving. These elements were all designed in close collaboration with the client to address the spatial constraints typical of cruise ship bathrooms, ensuring the finished product met high standards for both design and usability.
The project was delivered in two distinct phases, with global coordination across two dry docks. The first dry dock took place in Singapore, where 80 guest cabins were refurbished. The second phase followed in the Bahamas, completing an additional 69 cabin bathrooms. Both phases were executed with speed and efficiency, minimising downtime for the cruise liner.
Installation was carried out by GEMM London’s experienced team, who specialise in glass and solid surface fit outs for hospitality and marine environments. Luma Mirrors also coordinated worldwide logistics throughout the project, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with strict marine standards.
