The Wallcoverings Creating the Most Memorable Moments in Hospitality Interiors

In hospitality design, it’s often the hand-done details that leave the strongest impression. Lincrusta’s embossed wallcoverings continue to prove just how transformative surface can be, bringing texture, depth and artistry to spaces that want to feel immersive, characterful and memorable.

Lincrusta catches the eye and captures the imagination whatever the setting. From classic country residences to modern urban living spaces, this incomparable range of wallcoverings, dado panels, friezes and borders allows for the creation of bespoke interiors.

Two recent projects, Grilandia in Mayfair and the White Horse & Bower in Westminster, show how decorative wallcoverings can become defining moments within an interior.

Grilandia, Mayfair

Renowned for its exquisite Lebanese cuisine, Grilandia offers the perfect setting for a relaxed lunch or an elegant dinner. In their design for Grilandia, Mayfair, Accanto Interiors set out to blend comfort, visual richness, and timeless appeal by using layered textures.

Their curated mix of surfaces and finishes create harmony and contrast, resulting in a space that feels multi-dimensional, balanced and lived in. Lincrusta was delighted that Accanto Interiors chose two Lincrusta wallcoverings to create private dining spaces that feel emotionally engaging and at the same time grounded and luxurious.

Acanthus from the Morris & Co. collaboration creates this wonderful celestial arched ceiling.

According to the Accanto team, these:

“ornate embossed wallcoverings provide some of the project’s most defining visual moments as seen in the vaulted ceilings. These deeply textured surfaces resemble heritage plasterwork yet offer more flexibility and durability for contemporary use.”

Elizabeth, painted in deep red hues, adds warmth and richness to the majestic vaulted ceilings.

White Horse & Bower, Westminster

In the heart of Westminster is Shepherd Neame’s little gem the White Horse & Bower. As well as the exterior transformation which reclaimed the building’s historical presence from a featureless facade, Emma Simmonds Design have created an authentic and welcoming interior through bespoke craftsmanship and choice of materials.

Positioned at the heart of the pub is a bespoke aged oak bar, which opens up the entrance and brings in more light. Drinking and dining areas are divided through bespoke joinery work incorporating incredible stained-glass windows.

Comfort and character are introduced through banquette seating in aged leather and velvet. A sense of history has been layered back in through a salvaged timber fireplace and reclaimed light fittings. And then the piece de resistance is the hand-painted embossed Fruit wallcovering from the Morris & Co. collaboration collection.

Each figurative element of the Fruit pattern was lovingly painted out by hand in jewel colours by signwriter and mural artist Artful Charlie to create a captivating focus wall.
