VAL Luminex bathtub is an evolution of LAUFEN’s successful VAL series, designed by Konstantin Grcic. LAUFEN’s research into the mineral casting material Sentec has led to the creation of an innovative translucent material which has been used for the first time to transform VAL in a new version which allows the colour to infuse the water, creating a soothing chromotherapy experience.

LAUFEN’s new Luminex bathtub is inspired by the energizing power of light and colour which have been used, since ancient times to improve our mental and physical balance. Thanks to LED technology and a high-tech remote control, users can not only modulate the intensity of the light and colours but also choose from a range of settings to intensify the bathing experience and create ambient lighting effects according to the mood of the moment.

The translucent mineral casting material also feels velvety and warm to touch and maintains the temperature of the water in the bathtub for a long time, avoiding unnecessary water waste. This lasting warmth naturally encourages moments of pause, creating the ideal setting for immersion bathing, which scientific studies have shown to provide significant physical and mental benefits – from releasing muscle tension to fostering deeper relaxation.

The innovative MySpa, designed in collaboration with Andreas Dimitriadis (platinum design), is a digital shower system that transforms everyday cleansing into a multi-sensory ritual.

At its heart is an intuitive control unit that orchestrates water, light and sound into customisable scenarios. Integrated LED panels, ambient lighting, a horizontal wall module with hidden storage and advanced shower elements create a seamless composition that adapts to the user’s mood – from energising to meditative. 

Thanks to its modular design, MySpa can be configured from a basic model to a luxury version, including options such as illuminated storage, various shower heads and additional features. Whether awakening with the sounds of the sea or unwinding in the glow of a candlelit hammam, MySpa transforms daily cleansing into a moment of renewal.
