Vescom on Connection and Conscious Design: Why Supporting the CIUK Annual Luncheon Matters

As a global leader in high-performance interior materials, Vescom continues to shape the conversation around sustainability, wellbeing, and design innovation. In support of the Commercial Interiors UK (CIUK) Annual Luncheon 2025, we spoke with Romina Corrias, Specification Consultant, who shared her perspective on why moments of connection are vital for our fast-paced industry. From the value of community gatherings to the exciting potential of sustainable design, Romina highlights the reasons Vescom is proud to align its brand with CIUK’s flagship event.

1. The CIUK Annual Luncheon brings our industry together as a community – why do you believe it’s important for commercial interiors professionals to regularly connect, celebrate, and share experiences as a collective?

“The Annual Luncheon is about more than networking. It’s about people coming together. In such a fast-paced industry, it’s important to pause, connect, and share experiences. Those moments of conversation and celebration remind us why we love what we do.”

2. What opportunities do you think events like the CIUK Annual Luncheon create, both for individual businesses and for the commercial interiors sector as a whole?

“Events like this create space for fresh opportunities. For businesses, it’s a chance to be seen, to meet new collaborators, and to strengthen relationships. For the sector as a whole, it keeps our community connected and helps us move forward together.”

3. How does your business approach building and maintaining relationships within the industry? Why is it important to spend time with existing customers and connections, as well as invest in forging new ones?

“At Vescom, relationships are at the heart of everything. We invest time in the people we already work with, because trust and consistency matter, but we’re also always curious to meet new voices. Both are vital if we want the industry to keep growing and evolving.”

4. Why have you chosen to align your brand with Commercial Interiors UK’s Annual Luncheon? What does supporting this event, and the association as a not-for-profit, mean to your business?

“We chose to support CIUK’s Annual Luncheon because we believe in what it stands for. CIUK does so much as a not-for-profit to champion the sector, and backing the luncheon feels like our way of contributing to that shared progress.”

5. What excites you most about the current state of the commercial interiors sector? Where do you see real energy, innovation, or potential right now?

“Right now, the energy around sustainability and wellbeing in design is exciting. There’s a real appetite for interiors that don’t just look good but genuinely support people and the planet. That drive for meaningful innovation is where we see the biggest potential.”

Romina’s insights reflect Vescom’s commitment not only to producing innovative, sustainable materials but also to nurturing the relationships that drive the commercial interiors sector forward. By supporting the CIUK Annual Luncheon, Vescom reinforces its belief in the power of community, collaboration, and shared progress. As the industry looks to the future, it’s clear that the themes of sustainability and wellbeing which are so central to Vescom’s mission will continue to inspire meaningful innovation across the sector.
