Studio Moren promotes Ed Murray to Partner
Studio Moren is proud to announce the promotion of Ed Murray to Partner, representing a significant milestone for the growing, 70-strong practice of architecture and interior design specialists.

Ed originally joined the studio in 2007 as a graduate and developed his early career at Studio Moren, through to his first years as a qualified architect. During this time, he was Project Architect on the multi award-winning Hilton London Bankside – a flagship scheme that helped redefine contemporary hospitality design in the capital.
During his more recent years at the studio, Ed has led the delivery of several landmark projects, including The Westin London City and Hyde London City – both complex urban hospitality projects that reflect his ability to balance bold design ambition with technical delivery.
Known for his empathetic leadership style, creative clarity and commercial acumen, Ed has become a trusted voice not only in project delivery, but in shaping the studio’s strategic direction and market positioning. His promotion reflects not only the strength of his project work, but also his contribution to the studio’s wider business development and brand evolution.
As Partner, Ed will continue to lead high-profile luxury and lifestyle hospitality projects across the UK and internationally, while taking on a broader role in shaping the studio’s business development strategy, brand positioning and commercial growth.
“It’s a real privilege to step into this role,” said Ed Murray. “Studio Moren has been such a big part of my life – I have grown up here – so becoming Partner feels both momentous and completely right. I am lucky to work alongside some brilliantly talented people, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together. What excites me most is the opportunity to help shape what comes next – strengthening our brand, driving strategic growth, and nurturing a studio culture where creativity, collaboration and care are inseparable.”
Wan Yau, Partner at Studio Moren added:
“Ed’s promotion is both well-earned and a natural next step – he’s been leading some of our most significant and complex projects for much of the last decade. He’s grown into a leader who holds the respect of clients and the trust of teams, but with a rare combination of empathy, commercial clarity and design ambition. We’re lucky to have him.”
This appointment marks a further step in Studio Moren’s continued investment in next-generation leadership, as the practice continues to grow its presence as a leader in hotel design across the UK and international hospitality market.
