Brass Founders, Student Accommodation in Sheffield

Kingston Shaw Interior Design were delighted to complete the design of the communal spaces of a new-build student project in Sheffield. 

Brass Founders offers students a luxury space that is meant to feel like a home from home. The communal spaces include a games room, gym, communal eating area, social hub, work spaces and a cinema room.  BCFA member Tektura wallcoverings have been used throughout these common areas.The brief given to the designers was to create a functional yet inviting interior that was inspiring and full of character. Tektura Wallcovering murals were the perfect fit for this. A woodland mural has been selected, made in custom colours. An ink blot design has also been chosen which gives a interesting visual that reminds us a little of a Rorschach test – very cool! Another mural chosen was one from the Old Masters collection. They picture works of art from the 18th and 19th century. Kingston Shaw said;

“Designing this wonderful space was an opportunity to re imagine our own student accommodation desires and provide a unique space for today’s scholars to live, work and study in”
