Contract Chair are a family run business both owned and managed by two cousins who have worked in the hospitality industry since the 1990s – a long time, some may say! They expertly match the needs of their industry with suitable products, supplying mostly hotels, restaurants, cafes and student accommodation. They have a strong community ethic, so expect enthusiastic and professional support when you contact them: choice, convenience and continuity is their motto.

Each table top is made by hand in a socially-minded & low tech factory that believes in old-fashioned production values. Each table top starts life as a pencil drawing and is lovingly crafted by trained members of the local community that make up the ever-growing workforce. If you’re looking for table tops with personality, charm and individuality, you won’t find any that are more beautifully unique than these. This is how The Contract Chair Company create your bespoke table tops: boards are sliced into 8-10mm thick slab panels, then pinned and glued to 18mm plywood, to form a top that’s between 28mm-40mm thick. The edge can then be fitted with either wood or metal edging and the surface finished in matt, satin or semi-gloss wax oil finishes. Possible designs include diagonal squares, stripes, lattice, herringbone, geometric patterns & even American quilt patterns – which is your favourite?
The Contract Chair Co have a showroom in London that presents 500 of their products and a large fabric library and swatch collection – both designers and customers are welcome, with free parking!
