Inside Out worked with designers Kinnersley Kent Design to create the dreamlike atmosphere within Peggy Porschen’s artisan bakery, supplying a sugary sweet mix of furniture befitting of the café’s signature look. Without taking attention away from the Insta famous bakes!
In the heart of Chelsea, the artisan bakery is perfectly located for those looking for afternoon tea while shopping or celeb spotting in London’s wealthiest borough. Eye-catchingly pink and located on the corner of Elizabeth Street amongst a whole host of boutique shops and eateries, Porschen welcomes visitors into her magical world through a door adorned with fresh floral bouquets as artfully crafted as the cakes within.
The full Peggy Porschen experience begins in the café, furnished with cradle side chairs and focussed around the patisserie counter showcasing the delights on offer. Moving through the café takes you to the lounge with floral wallpaper designed for Peggy by illustrator Kerrie Hess.
Peggy’s flagship parlour also includes dedicated dining area, the salon with Vienna armchairs in a blue stain and upholstered seat cushions. A bar area called the Pink Peony bar and private space, the Chelsea Rose Room, also make up the spacious café, coming together to form an experience befitting of Peggy’s aesthetic.
Every element of Peggy’s parlour has been carefully crafted by the designers Kinnersley Kent Design from the five-meter long patisserie counter to the wall finishing and the furnishings. All have been created using materials that are made to last and leave a lasting impression. Alongside this, the seasonal menu takes visitors from breakfast through to dinner and drinks, so the emphasis on a multifaceted dining space with furnishings to accompany is reflected in the design.
