BCFA UK Restaurant & Bar Sector Report

This report was compiled following in-depth interviews with key stakeholders working in the restaurant and bar sector, this included two award winning design practices, two BCFA members who regularly supply product into both the bar and restaurant sector and one BCFA member who provides interior design, product and a full installation service. Additionally, press and statistical sources were used, various industry magazines, industry performance statistics, separate sector reviews, several industry events and a selection of annual reports from the major groups listed in appendix 5.1.

Excel London and British furniture manufacturer Burgess has announced a new Official Supplier agreement that will see the two collaborating on a range of products, with a focus on the venue’s forthcoming 25,000sqm expansion.

Burgess, regarded as Europe’s leading designer and manufacturer for the hospitality sector, will supply the high quality chairs and tables to be used within Excel’s forthcoming ICC Maritime Suite, a state-of-the-art convention and meeting space, designed to accommodate up to 7,000 delegates. With 37 individual rooms, dedicated registration and reception areas, and south facing terraces, the suite is one of the flagship spaces within the new development.
