Thursday 29th September: A Commercial Interior Designer’s role in delivering non-toxic working environments. Panellists:

Ben Channon, Director at Ekkist: Ben is an architect, author, TEDx speaker, WELL AP and mental health advocate, and is well known in the industry as a thought leader in designing for happiness and wellbeing.

Nigel Tresise, Director/Owner at align. Multi-disciplinary practice align works across hospitality, workplace, mixed-use and residential schemes. Nigel writes and speaks regularly on the changing workplace and on sustainability.

Dan Gillmore, Global Creative Director at TablePlaceChairs_As Global Creative Director, Dan ensures that the brand, and new product designs, consistently meet the companies design philosophy, something which has been carefully installed across Table Place Chairs_ worldwide design hubs. 

Thursday 13th October: What measures are being taken by the hospitality sector to reach carbon zero? Panellists:

Sharon Grob, EMEA Hotels Client Development Director at Tetris. Sharon has been emersed in the world of global luxury hotel design for a number of years in roles with highly acclaimed, design firms include Richmond International and Hirsch Bedner Associates/HBA, she is currently the EMEA Hotels Client Development Director for Tetris D+B. Tetris acts as general Contractor / Fit-out Contractor for luxury and lifestyle hotels across most European countries.

Lucy Arndt, Head of Sustainability at Dodds + Shute. Lucy has over a decade of experience in addressing sustainability and climate risks and opportunities within the private sector. Prior to D&S, Lucy served as Director of Climate Solutions at Ecosphere+, a leader in the voluntary carbon market helping companies such as Shell, British Airways, Chanel, BHP and Ben & Jerry’s to implement net zero and other sustainability commitments. Here she led the team to achieve nearly 40 million tonnes of carbon avoided through climate finance delivered to forest conservation projects around the world.

Ana Rita Martins, Senior Associate, Sustainability & Design at Woodalls. Ana Rita joined Woodalls to form a global Sustainable Design framework and in-house strategy by implementing several environmental and mindful standard practices to the company’s design-and-build methodology. Before joining Woodalls, Ana Rita worked as a Sustainability Architect for award-winning interior design practice, where she coordinated several office projects to deliver environmental certifications on the architecture side. She was also part of a team that helped develop a net-zero real estate framework for a renowned brand.

Thursday 20th Oct: Prioritising guest experience as a hospitality designer & hotel manager. Panellists:

Holly Hallam, Managing Director at Design LSM

Sally Beck, General Manager at Royal Lancaster Hotel

A 45 minute talk for Commercial Interior Designers, which includes an open floor Q&A, will be followed by the opportunity to mingle with like-minded peers.
