BCFA member Morgan have created elegant designs, suitable for the hospitality industry. Design Insider will delve in to three collections that Morgan would like to introduce you to: Seville, Metro and Pimlico. As Morgan look for integrity rather than fashion, you will find some contemporary, balanced and original expressions within all of their ranges.
Contemporary and classic, Morgan’s Seville collection, designed by Katerina Zachariades, includes the elegant high back lounge chair and sofa. Inspired by a traditional look, the products offer a distinguished presence, reminiscent of a vintage style.
Showcased with a unique upholstery detail of a soft cream interior, and contrasting geometric black and white exterior, the shape of the flowing elegant profile is enhanced further by a contrasting piping detail. The entire collection also includes low back lounge seating, dining, side tables and coffee tables.
The Metro high back wing chair is a dramatic piece, enhanced by a dynamic profile that adds a statement to any interior. Each panel allows for the use of varying fabrics, allowing the specifier to create unique contrasts through colour or pattern, giving each chair a personalised feel. The acoustics of the high back and wings allow for a more private seat, ideal for individual working, or quiet relaxation, blocking excess surrounding noise.
The collection also features low back lounge chairs with an upholstered body, button back detail and optional timber arms. A playful take on a mid-century style, the chairs can be specified with a timber base, wire sled base or a rocking base.
Morgan’s Pimlico collection began as a side chair with a small footprint, and has since developed to include a variety of size options and high-backs.
With smooth curved lines and a unique oval seat pad, the expanded collection offers further possibilities and interior solutions; creating a cohesive collection suited to both workplace and hospitality interiors.
Alongside these products, the collection includes a number of low back options including a luxuriously deep sofa, a higher sit banquette sofa, lounge chairs and dining/meeting chairs.
Made in Hampshire and displayed in Clerkenwell, Morgan’s collections are highly versatile and diverse, whilst maintaining a unifying family quality.
Which is your favourite collection out of these three? Or is your favourite one that has not been showcased yet? Let us know in the comments. Last month Design Insider heard from Scott Wilson from Morgan Studio, who found a spot in Barcelona that helped his creativity when designing.
