Camira, the global textile manufacturer, is launching Synergy, a high-performance seating fabric which includes its largest colour offering of 75 intelligent shades.

About the collection

Synergy is a natural evolution of Camira’s bestselling wool fabric, Blazer. It’s softer and stronger, lighter and brighter. Made from premium New Zealand wool and combined with just 5% polyamide, Synergy has a finer finish whilst achieving an impressive abrasion performance of 100,000 Martindale cycles.

Available in 75 shades, the Synergy palette has an enchanting kaleidoscope of colours suitable for a wide range of interior environments. Ranging from bold brights, neutral pales, deep darks and mysterious mélanges, the development of each colourway was a thoughtful and considered process.

Hayley Barrett, designer of the Synergy range, commented: “Creating Synergy has been a journey of discovery. We wanted to give architects and designers the full spectrum of colours that complement one another. Experimenting and using colours together, or selecting tones that work well with other materials, opens up new colour combinations and surprising colour stories.

“Synergy is a progression from Blazer and whilst it maintains similarities, the wider colour range and inclusion of nylon means we’ve been able to develop a fabric that looks beautiful but also stands up to the toughest scenarios.”

‘Just a drop’ Charity and Camira Fabrics

As water is a core utility for wool textile manufacturing, Camira is supporting international water aid charity, Just a Drop, to help deliver accessible, clean and safe water where it is needed most.

For every metre of Synergy sold, Camira will make a donation to a project in Kenya. The first project is to build a water tank at Ikalaasa Primary School to provide clean water to 460 pupils. The donation will be matched by Wools of New Zealand, with additional contributions from Camira’s wider supply chain including yarn spinners, Safil and textile finishers, WT Johnson & Sons.
