Searcys St Pancras’ Champagne Bar Design Transformation on Track

DesignLSM, the award-winning hospitality design agency, are working with Searcys to  redesign and evolve its iconic Champagne Bar at  St Pancras International, reimagining this iconic hospitality destination, spotlighting the brand’s heritage in Champagne and gastronomy, with a touch of indulgence.

Executing an attractive and glamorous appearance that befits the stunning listed architectural surroundings, the concept draws inspiration from the prestigious heritage of the Searcys’ brand, complimented with a modern twist.

A long-standing British catering institution with high-quality craftsmanship and excellence of hospitality at its heart, Searcys is notable for its collection of standalone restaurants, bars, cafés, and event spaces set within prestigious venues across the UK, including The Gherkin, 116 Pall Mall and The Pump Room in Bath.

Searcys operations director Allan Heard comments, “To celebrate Searcys’ 175th anniversary this year, we feel it is more than fitting to revamp the iconic Champagne bar and the gateway into London and the UK at St Pancras International. With Victorian elegance at heart, we are looking at more flexible and varied configuration of seating – from comfortable nooks for two to spaces for larger parties and celebrations. At the bar, we are putting more prominence on our signature drink, Champagne, to showcase our extensive selection of bottles and magnums, plus our ‘Press for Champagne’ buzzers are here to stay. We are also putting more focus on the food, with a brand-new seafood bar at the centre of the redesigned bar, perfect to raise a glass with friends and family and as a fizz pitstop for Londoners and beyond.”

Shining a spotlight onto the Searcys brand along with playing into the historic adventures, romance and excitement associated with rail travel the carefully curated revamp heralds a new era for St Pancras Champagne Bar. With opulent surroundings, the new design will see an integration of modern design and technology to elevate the guest experience, as well as harmonising with the recently refurbished Brasserie.

The renovation is set to be completed by early September 2022.

The art-deco St Pancras Brasserie by Searcys will remain open throughout the summer, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, alongside its signature Travel Afternoon Tea, served in a suitcase.
