How do you design an exhibition space using circular thinking rather than a linear approach?

That challenge shaped The Circular Hub, an outstanding installation at Workplace Design Show designed by MCM Architecture and Future Works, in partnership with Nested Living. It stood out not only as a visual highlight of the show, but as a clear and compelling demonstration of how circular design can be communicated through the built environment.

In this article, you’ll discover how Ana Rita Martins and the team translated complex ideas into a space that felt accessible, purposeful and commercially relevant. From materials already in circulation to careful plans for disassembly, reuse and return, every decision was grounded in a commitment to circularity.

The Circular Hub offered a strong vision for the future of workplace design and helped move the conversation forward across the commercial interiors sector.

No.1 Ancoats Green marks a key milestone for Manchester, becoming the first scheme to complete under the City Council’s This City development programme.

Designed by Buttress Architects, the project delivers 119 apartments and 10 town houses, with 30% of homes available at Manchester Living Rent, combining quality with accessibility in a highly central location.

What is really changing in travel and hospitality, and how should design respond?

At a recent round table hosted by Studio Moren, developers, operators, designers, strategists and investors came together to explore the shifting expectations shaping the sector. From wellness and performance to hybrid living, community and digitalisation, the discussion focused on how spaces can respond with greater clarity, relevance and intent.

This carousel shares five key insights from that conversation, drawn from the lived experience, real projects and honest tensions raised around the table.

Thank you to Studio Moren for hosting such an insightful discussion, and to all speakers for contributing so openly.
