2020 Pantone Colour of the Year with Muuto

At Muuto, colour is an integral part of their universe and subsequently, they would like to share all of their shades of blue gathered from their collection for any potential editorial features of the Pantone Colour of The Year 2020. In 2019, Living Coral was the colour of the year, and in 2018 it was Ultra Violet.

For 2020, it has been announced that Classic Blue will be in the spotlight and dominating designs to come for next year. The director of Pantone’s Colour Institute, Leatrice Eiseman, highlights reasons as to why it was chosen:

“solid and dependable hue we can always rely on. Classic blue encourages us to look beyond the obvious, to expand our thinking, [and to] increase our perspective and open the flow of communication.”

Muuto is rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition characterized by enduring aesthetics, functionality, craftsmanship and an honest expression. By expanding this heritage with forward-looking materials, techniques and bold creative thinking, their ambition is to deliver new perspectives on Scandinavian design.
