Morgan are enjoying the popularity of their Metro collection within the workplace, we took the opportunity to find out more about three projects where Metro’s versatile, bold and contemporary design perfectly fitted the brief.
Alan Turing Institute – Designed by Morgan Lovell
The Alan Turing Institute, based in the British library, is the national body for data science, named after the scientist who cracked the German Enigma code. Morgan Lovell’s ambition was to design an office that reflected the Institute’s heritage, while ensuring it had a bright space to achieve excellence. The newly refurbished space brings together some of the brightest minds, so it had to be inspirational, collaborative and functional. The dynamic yet peaceful design features Morgan’s Japanese inspired Kyoto linear bench and their contemporary Metro lounge chairs. Creative Quarter, Cardiff – Designed by Insight Architects & Oscar Clarke Design
Located in the heart of Cardiff City Centre, the Creative Quarter offers cool, contemporary interiors whilst maintaining the integrity of the Victorian architecture. Clients using the Creative Quarter have access to shared meeting spaces and interaction is centered around The Hub, a communal social space, which provides kitchen facilities and a focal point for informal meetings and presentations. Global Consultants – Designed by Scott Brownrigg
This office refurbishment for a Global Management Consultancy is located in one of the busiest areas of London on the Strand and features contemporary furniture from Morgan. The Metro lounge chair provides stylish comfort. As additions to the collection, the lounge chairs are available with a quilted seat and back; and optional swivel base as an alternative to timber legs.

The Metro Collection
Bold and contemporary, Morgan’s Metro collection features an upholstered body with button back detail, a separate timber base and optional timber arms. A playful take on a mid-century style, the collection offers a lounge, high back wing chair and sofa with a timber base available in oak or beech polished to any of our standard finishes. The lounge chair is also available with wire sled and timber rocking base.
