The Designers Behind the Vision
Two designers play a central role in bringing this reinterpretation to life: Aurélie Penneman and Roelfien Vos.

Interior architect Aurélie Penneman approaches Art Deco with both deep knowledge and creative freedom. To mark the style’s centenary, she reimagined part of Orac’s showroom, demonstrating how familiar elements can take on new meaning. Drawing inspiration from Belgian icons such as Palais Stoclet and Villa Empain, she introduced unexpected twists—skirting boards placed upside down, cornices used as frames, and panels transformed into sculptural forms. Her work highlights Art Deco’s adaptability, showing that it is not a rigid style but one open to experimentation and personal interpretation.

Roelfien Vos brings a philosophy rooted in precision and subtle luxury. Known for her international high-end interiors, she focuses on the “art of attention,” where every detail contributes to a quiet, timeless elegance. Her long-standing relationship with Orac—spanning over 26 years—evolved naturally into a collaboration. Her collection reflects a refined balance between clean geometry and soft curves, staying true to Art Deco principles while introducing contemporary calmness.
