Come over to our place: LESTRANGE welcomes visitors to The Apartment, a new retail concept designed by Tabitha Isobel
LESTRANGE, the premium British clothing brand for the discerning man, has opened The Apartment, a new retail concept in London designed by interior design studio Tabitha Isobel. Marking a new chapter for the brand, the 30sqm space reimagines the role of bricks and mortar retail, translating LESTRANGE’s considered approach to design, craftsmanship and longevity to life through its most immersive store to date.

Tabitha Isobel is a London-based interior design studio founded by Tabitha Organ in 2023. With over a decade of experience at leading practices including Conran + Partners and Tatjana von Stein (formerly of Sella Concept), Tabitha brings a refined, story-led approach to residential, hospitality, and workplace interiors.
Conceived as a place where customers can linger, discover and spend time, The Apartment brings together thoughtful design, personal service and a slower, more considered and relaxed shopping environment. Drawing inspiration from the familiarity and comfort of home, the interior encourages visitors to browse at their own pace, settle in over a coffee and experience the brand in a way that feels welcoming, personal and unhurried.

In response to LESTRANGE’s commitment to sustainability as a certified B Corp, Tabitha Isobel adopted a low intervention approach, combining carefully sourced vintage furniture with considered new additions throughout the space.Located on one of Soho’s most storied streets, The Apartment was developed in close collaboration between LESTRANGE co-founder Tom Horne and Tabitha Isobel.
Tasked with creating a store that customers would genuinely want to spend time in, Tabitha Isobel translated the brand’s quiet luxury aesthetic into an interior where every design decision, from the layout and material palette to the furniture and styling, rethinks the traditional retail journey, carefully balancing product display with spaces for conversation, wardrobe consultations and quiet moments away from the pace of city life.

“Ten years ago, retail was primarily about acquisition. Today, brands can grow to a significant size without ever opening a store, so if physical retail still exists, it has to offer something more. For us, it is about telling our story properly, deepening relationships with our customers and creating an experience the internet simply can’t replicate. We wanted to create somewhere people would genuinely enjoy spending time, where they could discover the collection at their own pace and leave feeling a little calmer than when they arrived.”
Stepping into The Apartment, warm oak flooring runs throughout the space, grounding an interior defined by walnut stained timber panelling, soft stone walls painted in Farrow & Ball’s Slipper Satin, softly draped curtains from Nordic Knots and a warm, layered material palette. Minimalist Vitsoe shelving provides the architectural framework for the design-led approach to display, which sits alongside vintage furniture chosen to introduce character and individuality to create an environment that feels thoughtfully assembled rather than conventionally merchandised.

At the front of the store, a freestanding point of sale has been formed from a vintage oak cabinet, chosen for its crafted detailing and furniture-like presence. Glass-fronted doors lighten the piece, allowing books and objects to be displayed within, while a faceted hexagonal pendant light above casts a soft glow, immediately setting the tone for the relaxed, domestic atmosphere of the space.
At the heart of The Apartment, a fine striped olive-green rug anchors the central seating area, furnished with vintage mid-century William Plunkett armchairs upholstered in deep green leather. Paired with a set of tempered smoked glass nesting tables, the centralized vignette creates a comfortable place to pause over a coffee.

Designed to evoke the feel of an open wardrobe, uncluttered clothing rails and the signature Trouser Bar present the collection as a curated display, reflecting LESTRANGE’s philosophy of buying fewer, better pieces made to last. Set against a backdrop of walnut stained timber panelling wrapping the rear of the apartment to picture rail height, the display introduces warmth, texture and a more intimate sense of scale whilst shopping. A vintage French Art Deco dresser, reimagined as a display cabinet, showcases additional sizes and colourways. With its rich dark timber exterior, chrome framed detailing, contrasting oak interior and sleek glass shelving, the piece combines practical storage with beautifully crafted furniture.
Towards the rear of The Apartment, a vintage burl wood drinks cabinet has been repurposed as a coffee station, with a nearby newspaper rack creating a natural pause within the customer journey. Books and carefully chosen objects complete the vignette, while a Ferro wall lamp, designed by Tabitha Isobel and crafted by Dom Callaghan, adds a sculptural focal point, its folded stainless-steel form catching and reflecting light within this atmospheric corner of the interior.

Concealed behind softly draped curtains, the changing rooms continue the apartment’s warm, considered material palette with armchairs, timber benches and illuminated leaner mirrors. Descending to the lower level, the atmosphere becomes quieter and more intimate. A dedicated wardrobe consultation room provides a private setting for one-to-one appointments, complemented by generously proportioned changing rooms.
Tabitha Isobel comments:
“The design was shaped by the belief that shopping should feel considered and enjoyable. Every layer of the interior, from the vintage furniture and bespoke joinery to the lighting, materials and styling, was carefully edited to create a space that feels intuitive, comfortable and beautifully resolved, allowing the collection to be experienced in a more natural and relaxed way.”

In the design of The Apartment, Tabitha Isobel and LESTRANGE have created an experience that extends beyond the transaction, giving customers the time and confidence to build a wardrobe with care. A sophisticated physical expression of the brand, The Apartment provides a space for the brand’s community to return, connect and engage with LESTRANGE long after leaving the store.
