Fairmont Royal Pavilion, Barbados
Richmond has recently worked on the renovation at Fairmont Royal Pavilion revealing significant enhancements designed to ensure a welcoming, comfortable and luxurious experience for guests.
The multimillion-dollar project included a complete transformation of the hotel lobby and each of the 72 guest rooms and suites.
Richmond International drew inspiration for its new design concept from the resort’s enviable location directly on the beach on the Platinum Coast of Barbados. The project was led by Richmond International, in collaboration with L+R’s Design Studio and Creative Director Mario Nicolaou.
The Ritz-Carlton, Astana
Recently opened (June 2017), the legendary luxury hotel brand The Ritz-Carlton, Astana, forms part of the Verny Capital Group prestigious Talan Towers development. International design agency, Richmond International has directed their award-winning services to create a hotel with interiors that celebrate the culture, landscape, flora and fauna of Kazakhstan.
Organic shapes resonate throughout the property, giving the hotel a unique sense of flow. Other notable design features include the flooring in the reception of the hotel that has an inlaid metal floral pattern, which radiates from the base of the dramatic feature staircase and the fossilized trunk sculpture by Jon Krawczyk.
Feature wall panels with illuminated features inspired by petrified birch trees create a beautiful decorative back drop to the reception areas, whilst the wall in the Ozen lobby lounge has carved out recesses, inspired by the organic stratified structure of the Mangystau mountain region of Kazakhstan, to add a sense of privacy.
