THE INDEPENDENT HOTEL SHOW ANNOUNCES COMPETITION TO DESIGN IT’S CENTRAL ‘HUB’ FEATURE
The Independent Hotel Show, (21–22 October 2014), the UK’s only business event for the luxury and boutique hotel industry, this week announced a competition aimed at the UK design community, inviting them to create an exciting new look for it’s central networking area: The Hub.
The competition offers a company or individual the chance to design and build one of the main show features in the form of The Hub. A central networking area of the event, The Hub is a large lounge area designed around a functional café/bar for use during the event by visitors and exhibitors alike.
Below are some shots of last year’s central hub cafe, which used Muraspec printed fabric to create an enclosed space that was designed AfroditiKrassa.
The winning designer will be allocated a design budget to realise their vision, and they will also receive a stand space at the event, giving the opportunity to meet some of the UK’s most influential hoteliers. With full editorial coverage of The Hub in the event’s marketing and PR campaign along with branding for the winning designer/company within The Hub, this is the perfect opportunity for the winner to showcase their work at the heart of the luxury boutique and lifestyle hotel industry.
The Independent Hotel Show has to date been widely supported by the interior design community with previous contributions from AfroditiKrassa, Conran, Designersblock and Stiff + Trevillion as well as a number of high profile exhibitors. As such the show has fast become a must attend event for the hotel design community.
The two-day event promises to connect the highest quality suppliers with luxury and boutique hotel decision makers from across the country. Throughout the Show, hoteliers can engage with quality suppliers, share experiences and build relationships, turning their acquired knowledge into positive actions within their own hotel.
