Inside Out Contracts – Curzon Cinema

Independent Film House

Curzon cinemas specialise in art house and independent film. The Yorkshire town of Ripon was once home to three picture houses but has been without one since 1982.

However that changed last year October when Curzon brought one of their cinemas to Ripon. To achieve this project Inside Out collaborated with ABDA design to create a stylish and comfortable space, which could be used for pre-show drinks, meals and socialising. Inside out were given the job of supplying furniture for both the bar/dining area and lounge space.

The bar/dining area was given a cosy, chic and contemporary look combining luxury and homeliness brilliantly. Inside Out achieved this by supplying the Kew Lounge chair upholstered in a retro harlequin tessalate and the Queen side chair finished in warming transparent amber. The chairs complemented each other perfectly, creating the setting Curzon were aspiring towards in the brief. The Queen side chairs generated a contemporary look whilst the Kew lounge chairs added a homely feel. Both pieces were accompanied by the Newport barstool and dining tables from Inside Outs Bespoke range.

The Lounge area offered a more relaxing space where customers could sit before and after a showing to chat, read and watch TV. The Burlington lounge chair and sofa were chosen for their comfort and style. Inside Out supplied these pieces in a range of colours and fabric finishes. This resulted in a setting worthy of bringing cinema back to Ripon. All the furniture pieces supplied were unpacked, assembled and installed by Inside Outs installation team.
