Heathfield & Co have unveiled a beautifully layered lighting scheme for Templeton Garden, a boutique hotel sanctuary in the heart of Kensington

Created in collaboration with design studio Thurstan, the scheme uses warmth, materiality and restraint to shape calm, atmospheric spaces, from softly lit libraries and intimate bars to serene guest rooms and suites.

This is lighting that doesn’t shout. It supports mood, encourages pause, and helps define Templeton Garden as a true retreat from the city.

In Conversation: Jay Phillips, Managing Director, Hansgrohe Group UK & Ireland

With fresh investment in advanced finishing technology, Hansgrohe and AXOR are sharpening their offer for the hospitality sector, delivering faster lead times, greater design flexibility and finishes built to perform.

In our latest interview, Jay Phillips reflects on the brand’s heritage, its two distinct design-led brands, and AXOR’s €5m investment in new PVD chambers, responding to growing demand for colour, durability and complete bathroom coordination. From dual tone finishes and bespoke specification through AXOR Signature, to ambitious sustainability targets that reduce water consumption without compromising experience, the conversation offers a clear view of where the bathroom sector is heading.

“Demand for finishes has grown rapidly in the last two years, especially in hospitality. This investment means designers can specify with confidence, knowing they’ll get durability, consistency and reduced lead times.”

The interview also looks ahead to 2026, with new concealed systems, an upcoming AXOR collection with Barber Osgerby, and an evolving Water Studio in Clerkenwell.
