Segunda: Agua’s new soft velvet
Introducing Segunda, Agua’s entry level knitted collection.
Agua is a four-generation family business, specialising in technical soft fabrics and faux leathers that balance form with function. All its upholstery fabrics are highly durable, fire retardant, waterproof, stain-resistant and anti-microbial.
Agua’s first waterproof and fire-retardant upholstery collection was launched in 2004, and it now has an extensive range of over 36 collections and over 1000 different fabric choices. From all the brand’s years of experience it understands the needs and requirements of performance fabrics in demanding environments.
Segunda is a brand new, entry level fabric collection suitable for both curtains and upholstery. A beautifully soft knitted fabric that combines style and practicality, it’s available in 21 colours, in softer shades to stronger colourways.
Agua designed Segunda with an almost Alcantara-like feel and appearance, with a soft, close nap that’s incredibly durable. As a result, it’s sure to be a popular collection in any commercial environment.
With all the normal Agua properties, Segunda is waterproof, anti-microbial, stain resistant and comes with a 50k Martindale abrasion. It not only meets the FR for commercial upholstery, but also like some of Agua’s other soft woven fabric collections, it now also meets the fire retardancy rating for curtain fabrics – BS5867 Part 2 Type B.
Shade cards and samples for Segunda are now available and are already flying off the shelf.
