Grosvenor Hotel: Glamour at its finest

As you enter the grand hotel lobby of the Grosvenor hotel, it welcomes you with lavish staircases and sparkling chandeliers: an escape from the hustle and bustle of Victoria station, to seek refuge in one of the many restaurants and bars. RHA Furniture, a BCFA member, were involved in the refurbishment of the tearoom and restaurant.

Breathing new life to this grade 2 listed building RHA worked closely with GLH Hotels and MAS Designs to bring a fresh new look yet keeping the traditional aesthetics which makes the hotel the icon it is.

The first of the restaurants Is Grosvenor Arms. A light, welcoming space perfect for an informal coffee, quick drinks or a spot of breakfast, lunch or dinner.

RHA Furniture supplied all the loose furniture, including the multiple seating styles from our standard ranges such as the Allure and Sun chairs. These were complimented by beautiful bespoke tables with custom-made tops made from an Egger oak laminate and matching solid hard edge.

The second of the restaurants furnished by RHA was the Tea Rooms. A grand, elegant room with high ceilings and gorgeous chandeliers. The room is perfect for finding a corner to enjoy the delights of a classic afternoon tea or maybe a little glass of bubbly or two.

Working again with GLH Hotels and MAS Design we supplied more bespoke furniture this time in the form of lounge chairs, loose bench seating and more oak laminate and Rocca marble table tops.

The overall look is something special, keeping the balance between the new and old is a fine balancing act which was accomplished with great results.

Although this project utilised many standard products, RHA can offer a bespoke service both in upholstery and joinery. If this project inspired you, you can read about their other project on Design Insider, such as the Mercure in Edinburgh.
