Inside Out Contracts: Rio 2016 Olympics

Capacobana Palace Hotel, Rio de Janeiro

Setting the scene on Rio’s famous Copacabana Beach, Inside Out worked with event designers Ruby J to dramatically transform the famed Copacabana Palace Hotel into an elegant and theatrical venue for invited guests of the Summer 2016 Olympic Games. Transforming two ballroom spaces and vast terrace, Inside Out worked to Ruby J’s brief, supplying and designing furniture that travelled over five thousand miles to reach their end destination.

The grand interiors are complemented by deep button back sofas and designer coffee tables; whilst Italian made lounges and side chairs hone in on the brief’s modern countenance. Taking a step outside, the secluded balcony is furnished with premium outdoor rattan sofas, lounges and dining chairs. All finished in matching white, the display of furniture cleverly offset the coloured integrated lighting that was featured throughout. From render to reality, the finished project successfully delivers a comfortable and modern venue that is rich in ambiance and perfectly suited to its famed location, Copacabana.

“Although the original features of the ballroom spaces were beautiful, we wanted to create a more modern and fresh space for guests” – Ruby J Team
