Top London interior designer René Dekker from René Dekker Design was commissioned to take on this project by M Restaurant’s founder Martin Williams.For the flooring design, René took inspiration from a parquet pattern he discovered in Italy and turned to Amtico, knowing they would be able to replicate the pattern and provide a totally bespoke solution.

René was keen to replicate elements of a traditional British pub whilst bringing it up to date with 21st Century technology. To achieve the required look, he chose four types of timber finish from Amtico’s Signature collection in an intricate Basket Weave design.Blending four shades

Shibori Sencha, Shibori Jasmine, Cirrus Shadow and Ink Wash Wood was used to create a strong contrast and an interesting pattern; while the piece-de-resistance lies in the entrance to the restaurant, where a custom-made ‘M’ logo is proudly displayed.
