New Wool Upholstery Inpired by Savile Row Suits: ‘Code’ by Camira

Code is the latest from Camira Fabrics and is a luxurious worsted wool upholstery fabric reminiscent of the old Savile Row suiting cloths updated for today’s digital age.

The fabric echoes modern technology by featuring barcode inspired stripes which run horizontally across the fabric in a large scale dramatic pattern repeat.CAMIRA FABRICS (CODE SHOOT 13.10.2016)The range presents darker, explorative shades alongside bright, bold and playful colours that can work alone or in harmony with other Camira offerings.

Jess Walker, Designer at Camira, commented;

“Code is very much inspired by Savile Row tailoring in terms of the texture and finished look of the fabric. The design takes cues from a far more modern approach, influenced by digital barcodes systematically presenting data, shown through the straight lines of varying depths giving the idea of exploring new results, looking deeper to provide new curiosities. The carefully selected colours were specifically created to give a warmth to each colourway. The large, rich blocks or colour are supported by the grey base running through, with additional highlights shown through complementary bandings of secondary colours.”
