Studio Play is the new commercial carpet collection from Brintons, born from a series of creative workshops where experimentation comes first and design follows.⁠
⁠
For Series One, the team worked freely with fluid acrylic inks, layering, responding and creating without pressure. The unexpected results have now been translated into expressive carpet designs that bring an artisan quality to high-traffic hospitality, retail and corporate interiors.⁠
⁠
And this is just the beginning. With Gelli printing next on the agenda, Studio Play is set to continue exploring what can happen when designers are given the freedom to create first and design later.⁠

Skinners’ Hall has reopened as 8½ London following its first major refurbishment in three decades, with Carter Owers Studio leading the transformation of more than 17 public rooms and residential apartments alongside architectural interventions by 6a architects.⁠
⁠
Rather than treating the past as something to be preserved behind glass, the four-year restoration brings centuries of history back into active use. Blackened brickwork still carries the scars of the Great Fire, fragments of the buried River Walbrook have been woven into the building’s story, and historic rooms now sit alongside contemporary furniture, bespoke British craftsmanship and carefully commissioned details.⁠
⁠
The result is a remarkable new chapter for one of the City of London’s most historic buildings.⁠
