The Carlyle – Distinction Group & Visu Verum Interiors

The Carlyle is the latest project of private rental apartments by London- based designers Visu Verum Interiors. Situated in affluent Kensington, the building consists of 12 two, three- and four-bedroom luxury homes.

Visu Verum Interiors are an interior design studio, located in London. They excell in crafting elegant residences, adopting classic silhouettes and modernising them using vibrant upholstery and finishes. Often inhabiting heritage or listed properties, Visu Verum’s considered design intents maintain the properties original and unique history with an injection of contemporary luxury.

Distinction Group were engaged by the designers to provide loose furnishings for the apartments, most notably a diverse range of plush upholstered goods. Distinctive panelled headboards in rich jewel tones inject opulence into the king, double and twin bedrooms. Brass detailing and warm wood finishes offset the striking upholstery, to create a homely and comforting atmosphere.

Throughout the living spaces, geometric silhouettes add depth and character to the upholstery and loose goods. A neutral palette is employed throughout the living spaces, using high gloss lacquered finishes and black metal detailing to provide a lavish yet pared back canvas to showcase the light and space in each apartment.

The completed property provides a welcome recluse from the bustling city beyond the walls, juxtaposing the busy London streets with a soft and sumptuous interior perfect for relaxing. The classic contemporary design scheme is a bright and homely escape.
