Originally a self-contained flat, the brief was to renovate the interior into a stunning master suite and guest suite, with the addition of some new beautiful bay windows. Now, the floorboards from Havwoods have helped to open up the home and create an incredibly airy and spacious aesthetic.

The result is a stunning suite that’s large and light, but still inviting with fun details and design elements. The final look incorporates a clean and bright palette dressed with bold furniture pieces and colours. An eclectic style has been achieved with some classic architectural elements paired with vintage mid-century furniture and bespoke lighting pieces. This creates a juxtaposition of clean lines paired with unique shapes and textures.

The correct flooring choice was imperative, to make the vast space of the master suite feel cohesive (including dressing area, bathroom, bedroom and various reading nooks), allowing the areas in the home to flow seamlessly and feel connected. The Champagne wood flooring delivered the ideal solution as it maximised the light from the bay windows, keeping the room bright and airy without it feeling overwhelming. This particular wood provided a perfect finish – fresh, but not cold, the rich warmth and silvery whitewash veins of the boards provided a unique texture.
