Europe’s Only Event Dedicated to the Cruise Interiors Community Returns to Hamburg

Registration for Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe (CSI Europe) is now open. Cruise line design teams, expert shipyards, design studios and procurement specialists planning to attend the trade fair, taking place 2 – 3 December, can secure their free passes to source for the demand in upcoming projects and stay at the forefront of marine interior design.

Visitors can find new ways to explore and new corners of the cruise ship interiors trade fair that they haven’t yet discovered, as CSI Europe is set to welcome over 300 exhibitors. The Hospitality@CSI zone continues to integrate guest experience and operations with the design focus of the event, reflecting the collaborative reality of the ship design process.

This year, Four Seasons has launched their first vessel into the burgeoning yacht-like cruise ship market, Four Seasons I. Another luxury brand has also announced its intent to join the industry: Mercedes-Maybach has entered an agreement with shipyard Lloyd Werft to develop a 155-metre superyacht, which they’ve billed the ‘world’s first invitation-only members’ club at sea’. CSI Europe has always had a strong presence of exhibitors that supplies to the yacht industry and this year, the spotlight will be on them and the exciting industry developments. Stay tuned for more information.

As the only European trade fair solely dedicated to cruise ship interior design and architecture, CSI Europe makes the claim to be the industry’s most beautiful show, stuffed with detailed finishes, ingenious design solutions and product launches. Highlighted suppliers at CSI Europe include natural material specialists Jacob Jürgensen Wood, spa favourites Fabio Alemanno Design, eye-catching furniture designers Bull & Stein and galley highlight Franke Kaffeemaschinen.

If the products on display are a feast for the buyer’s eye then the topical conference programme is food for the creative’s mind. The only European conference programme exclusively catering to the cruise ship interiors community, this year’s conference promises to unlock the design challenges faced across every level of the supply chain, and reinvigorate conversations ahead of a new year of design. In addition, visitors can participate in the Sustainable Design Summit, an interactive workshop focused on developing industry-relevant sustainable solutions, as for the second consecutive year running a shipbuilding track will run alongside the conference.

The content and installation space Design Deck is joining CSI Europe this year, after a successful debut at CSI Americas. Design studios will share their unique insight and explore everything from the trends of the future, to a deeper understanding of how cruise lines and design studios collaborate on a brief. New to CSI Europe, outfitters will join the deck to lend a shipbuilding perspective.

On the evening of day two, the bustling show floor comes alive with the community for the Cruise Ship Interiors Awards. The only awards ceremony dedicated to celebrating the creativity, innovation and beauty of the cruise ship interiors community will award winners in 13 categories, including Best Dining Space, Best Brand Original Project and Best Interior Product of the Year.
