Amtico: Transforming Spaces with Signature Elegance
Amtico Flooring, renowned for its exceptional quality and innovative designs, has recently completed two remarkable projects – the Lee & Thompson office fitout and the Ramside Hall Hotel. In collaboration with interior design experts Thirdway, Amtico’s Signature LVT flooring played a pivotal role in transforming these spaces, adding a touch of sophistication and practicality.

When legal firm Lee & Thompson chose to update and rebrand its office headquarters, the company consulted interior design experts Thirdway to transform the tired, dated space into a practical and inspiring commercial environment. The resulting contemporary workspace was given a high-end twist usually associated with a ‘membersonly club’, with Amtico’s Signature LVT flooring providing the finishing touch.
Pushing the traditional boundaries
With Lee & Thompson looking to push the traditional boundaries in which they worked, Thirdway’s project team looked to translate this mindset into design. Legal teams were previously spread over multiple floors, but were soon reallocated to one floor, so as to achieve a more collaborative and creative style of working. Amtico Signature LVT was chosen for the project, with two patterns from the Designers’ Choice collection offering a bold and eye-catching means of enhancing the office atmosphere as part of Lee & Thompson’s long-term vision.
The second project was Ramside Hall Hotel in Durham. Dove is Ramside Hall Hotel’s latest luxury treehouse, situated within the woodland adjacent to the 18th fairway of The Prince Bishops golf course in Durham. The spacious, 10-person retreat boasts a mezzanine, kitchen, terrace and three bedrooms, while the large lounge also allows the venue to be used for functions and events. The Dove treehouse provides guests with a tranquil and relaxing place, due to the surrounding nature. The rustic interiors feature Amtico LVT wood flooring from the Signature collection, chosen for its design-led aesthetics, colour palettes and durability to withstand heavy footfall, while still maintaining a fresh and new look.
The lounge area features Signature Reclaimed Oak laid in Castel Weave, a luxurious laying pattern that creates a statement – even in large event spaces or places of ceremony. It is surrounded by timeless Parquet in the same Reclaimed Oak LVT, which extends into the hallway and kitchen area.
Perfect choice
Unique and vast, the lounge area will be used for various events and occasions, although its main function will be as a wedding venue. Amtico Signature’s Quantum Guard Elite layer makes it perfect for the treehous’s multi-use space, while providing protection against abrasive debris, scuffs and scratches, particularly when staff re-arrange the furniture between ceremonies.
