After 25 years standing empty, Buile Hill Mansion has been reimagined as a place for community, celebration and everyday connection, with interiors by SpaceInvader that feel both refined and deeply rooted in context.

Drawing on the building’s Georgian heritage, local stories and the idea of unlocking something hidden, the design balances past and present with a light touch.

As Associate Director Imogen Woodage explains, the concept began with a simple discovery:
“Amongst various items from the past still lying around were a lot of old keys… this became a thread that ran through the scheme.”

That sense of narrative continues throughout, from the Secret Garden Café to the soft, nature-led palette and layered materials that create a space designed for slowing down.

For founder John Williams, the transformation goes beyond design:
“Buile Hill Mansion is now a place for community and celebration… a venue people will use and visit for generations to come.”

A thoughtful revival that proves heritage spaces can feel both meaningful and made for modern life.
