The Product Edit: Five New Launches Shaping Commercial Interiors
From sustainable workplace seating and nature-led flooring to luxurious wool carpet and a new generation of surface colours, this latest product edit brings together five recent stories from across the commercial interiors industry.
Featuring new developments from Design Insider members Humanscale, Karndean Commercial, GROHE, Brintons and CDUK, the selection explores how manufacturers are responding to changing expectations around environmental responsibility, material expression, performance and specification.

Humanscale Expands Its Ocean Collection with Freedom Ocean
Humanscale has expanded its Ocean Collection with Freedom Ocean, a new interpretation of Niels Diffrient’s iconic Freedom Chair made using reclaimed fishing nets and ocean plastic.
Each chair contains up to 2kg of reclaimed fishing and boating gear, helping divert a significant source of marine pollution while retaining the ergonomic performance associated with the original design. Its weight-compensating recline automatically responds to the user, while a pivoting backrest maintains lumbar support and synchronous armrests move with the sitter.
The modular construction supports maintenance and part replacement, helping extend the chair’s useful life and minimise waste. Available in task, meeting and stool models, Freedom Ocean has been designed to fit 95% of the population, with optional accessories including Technogel® cushions, a headrest and coat hanger.
Produced in TRUE Zero Waste facilities, the chair contains post-consumer recycled content and is free from harmful chemicals. It is Living Product Certified and carries credentials including DECLARE® LBC Red List Approved, BIFMA LEVEL® 3 and SCS Indoor Advantage™ Gold.
Freedom Ocean is available in a range of premium leathers, performance fabrics and frame finishes, supported by a 15-year warranty on parts.
Karndean Commercial Refreshes the Van Gogh Collection
Karndean Commercial has updated its Van Gogh luxury vinyl flooring collection with six nature-led designs and a new parquet-inspired Pavilion Panel format.
The refined collection introduces Après Oak, Urban Elm and Prime Oak designs in a balanced palette developed to support characterful, biophilic interiors. Each design is rooted in original material inspiration and has been curated to make the collection easier to navigate and specify.
Inspired by Bavarian oak, Après Oak is available in Honey, Cocoa and Sable colourways, spanning golden and caramel tones through to richer tobacco hues. A directional emboss highlights the character of the wood, while the Pavilion Panel creates the appearance of an intricate parquet floor without the complexity of traditional installation.
Indy Urban Elm draws on the expressive grain of a now-rare species, while Truffle and Linen Prime Oak extend the existing Prime Oak family with darker tonal variation and a lighter, restrained alternative.
All six designs are offered in full plank and herringbone formats, with the Après Oaks also available as Pavilion Panels. A 0.55mm wear layer supports commercial use, while low-VOC credentials, a take-back scheme for clean installation offcuts and warranties of up to 20 years contribute to responsible long-term specification.

CDUK Introduces Seven New Corian® Solid Surface Colours
CDUK has introduced seven colours from the 2026 Corian® Design palette to the UK and Ireland, extending the portfolio through a creative direction titled Nature in Motion.
Building on 2024’s Nature’s Canvas, the new palette translates the movement of stone, water and light into surfaces shaped by biophilic forms and earthy colour. The additions comprise Travertine Roma, Travertine Firenze, Vasto Greige, Vasto Laguna, Artista Drift, Artista Mocha and City Roast.
The Travertine designs offer warm architectural neutrals, while the Vasto colours introduce broader veining inspired by land, sky and water. Artista Drift combines a contemporary white ground with varied neutral veins, while Artista Mocha and City Roast explore richer coffee and chocolate tones.
Alongside their visual character, the surfaces retain the performance and fabrication possibilities associated with Corian®. The material can be thermoformed into two- and three-dimensional shapes and joined with inconspicuous seams, allowing walls, worktops and basins to read as continuous forms. Its non-porous, repairable surface also makes it suitable for demanding healthcare, hospitality and food-service environments.
The new colours are available exclusively through CDUK, which supports specifiers with samples, technical guidance and Lunch and Learn sessions. Artista Drift, Artista Mocha and City Roast also contain pre-consumer recycled content.

Brintons Introduces Its Most Luxurious Carpet Collection Yet
Heritage carpet manufacturer Brintons has launched Lumora, a new plain carpet collection designed to celebrate natural fibres, craftsmanship and understated luxury.
Woven from 100% wool, Lumora uses a carefully balanced blend of premium fibres to achieve exceptional softness while retaining the durability and long-term performance expected from Brintons. The collection has been developed as a refined foundation for interiors, allowing its tactile finish and material quality to take precedence over pattern.
A carefully curated colour palette moves from warm ivories and soft taupes to deeper, mineral-inspired tones. Designed to work across a broad range of interior styles, the shades provide a timeless backdrop for both traditional and contemporary schemes.
According to Jodie Hatton, Design Manager at Brintons, the ambition was to create the ultimate plain wool carpet: beautifully understated, visibly luxurious and resilient enough to meet the expectations of designers and end users.
By focusing on fibre quality, comfort and a restrained palette, Lumora offers a versatile specification for projects where material richness and longevity are central to the overall experience. The result is an intentionally simple collection in which craftsmanship becomes the defining design feature.

GROHE Brings Renewed Focus to the UK Market
GROHE is strengthening its support for the UK market through a refreshed digital platform, an expanded product portfolio and continued investment in industry events and partnerships.
Its redesigned UK website provides clearer access to product information, specification details and customer support. A simplified menu organises products by category, while dedicated installer videos and inspiration for architects, retailers and end users aim to make research and project planning more straightforward.
Product developments include the GROHE Aqua Tiles shower system within the premium GROHE SPA portfolio. The concealed Grohtherm Aqua Tile thermostat features recessed controls that extend when activated, with interchangeable cover plates allowing different shower functions to be integrated and personalised. It can be combined with modular Rainshower Aqua Tiles ceiling showers.
GROHE has also introduced AquaBooster, a water-amplifying technology designed to deliver a powerful spray at a reduced flow rate. The system rapidly fluctuates and distributes water through two chambers and a precisely engineered nozzle configuration.
