‘Artistry Revealed’ PHAEDRA: A new collection from Zoffany

Stepping onto the luxury interiors stage with poised perfection for autumn 2016, is the Zoffany Phaedra collection.

The ‘artistry revealed’ campaign is a visual allegory of the Zoffany studio’s perpetual journey to create luxury interiors and how we all search and aspire to the artistry inherent within the luxuries of life.

Peter Gomez – Head of the Zoffany studio says;

An underlying classical influence lies deep within the soul of this collection; it is the mastery of colour and the artistry of the reinterpretation of the fabrics and wallpapers that elevate it to a contemporary setting.

The Zoffany colours have evolved through experimental work with natural plant dyes and by taking inspiration from organic stones and minerals, to which were added the astonishing jewel colours of historic documents from the Zoffany archive.  Each yarn, each process, is meticulously considered, resulting in exquisitely crafted unique fabrics and wallpapers that bring bountiful pleasure to the maker and the beholder.

The collection comprises a quintet of books: Phaedra Fabrics and Wallcoverings are complemented by Oberon, an assortment of ethereal and textural lightweight fabrics; Aldwych, an opulently sumptuous velvet collection and Amoret, a sublimely decadent satin weave linen which falls into flowing drapes.

The colour story that links the collections for AW16 ranges from exquisitely delicate mineral hues to deep forest greens and moody blues.  There are organic and earthy tones juxtaposed with oxidised metallics, or combined with restful soft greens. Highlight colours such as malachite, henna, coy and Tiger’s eye heighten the drama.
