Five-Star Comfort at Curzon Kingston 

Set over 3 floors, Curzon Kingston offers a hospitality environment that emanates style and sophistication. From industrial chic to urban glamour, each floor offers something different. 

The fourth floor is home to an impressive rooftop bar. The rooftop is filled with pops of bubble gum shades of pink, green and blue and it is easy to think you are catching the sun in south beach Miami, rather than in Kingston. The third floor bar area offers home-like comfort with five-star luxury. Whilst, the pizza restaurant has a New York loft vibe with an industrial style that compliments the building’s architectural features of large windows and a big metal staircase.

Inside Out Contracts worked closely with Curzon to create this 5-star venue. The careful selection of furniture pieces, thoughtful choice of luxury fabrics and bespoke designs helped transform the venue from an empty shell into the ultimate hospitality experience, where you can enjoy 5 star films, food, drink and comfort. 

These designs helped to transform an empty space into a new addition to the Curzon family. The furniture provides luxurious comfort for guests at this five-star venue.

Originally home to Bentalls luxury department store in 1867, the current, magnificent and impressive shopping centre opened in 1992. The building’s dramatically high atrium ceiling is well-known, and it houses one of the largest escalators in the world. The ceiling is higher than the nave of Westminster Abbey or the dome of St Paul’s Cathedral. This dramatic modern architecture was a perfect location for a new Curzon venue.

Due to the busy shopping centre location, the Inside Out Contracts production team worked closely with the venue, to ensure that the install happened out of hours. The allowed the shopping centre to trade safely and without interruption. 

Inside Out Contracts have a long standing history of working with Curzon, some of the other locations include Soho, Bloomsbury, Camden, Canterbury and Sheffield. 

Fourth Floor | The Rooftop Bar 

The Rooftop Bar is a place to enjoy sitting outside, with breathtaking views, whilst enjoying a cocktail. It’s the perfect space to relax and socialise with friends and family.

The furniture needs to look good and withstand the British summers, which can have heavy rain and intense sunshine. Therefore the furniture needed to look great and still have all the practical elements suitable for being outdoors.

Using contemporary colourful furniture, the space captures a bright, happy, playful vibe which the Curzon team were looking to achieve. The green Hennessy Coffee Table consists of 100% recycled galvanised wire and steel with a powder coating. The Tribeca seating consists of metal and features a seat made of woven straps, which offers both style and comfort. These products are 100% recyclable at the end of the products life. 

As Georgia from Curzon says, ‘the rooftop bar at Kingston, looks incredible. It’s a really special place to eat and drink. They couldn’t be happier, especially with the furniture.’

Fourth Floor Bar | Banquette and Booth Seating

As the evening cools on the rooftop bar, the drinks can still continue inside. This unique booth creation maximises the space. Inside Out Contracts can create custom furniture that perfectly matches a venue’s furniture needs, including shape, size, upholstery, fillings, and finishes.

During the custom design phase, Inside Out Contracts created colourful renders. These drawings and visuals can help clients to better visualise the end results prior to manufacture.

Third Floor Cinema | Luxury 5 Star Cinema 

 The cinemas are a luxury experience with large comfortable seating. Some of the larger seating towards the front of the cinema have a fixed screen side table for placing drinks. Whilst the seating towards the back, has a wooden feature, for placing drinks on the arms of the chairs.

This custom-made furniture was designed and built to perfectly fit the space. There were many discussions to ensure it met all the requirements.

Third Floor Bar | Adding Cosy to Bar Design

The bar area feels like a cosy ‘home from home’ bar area. With large sofas and comfortable seating.  Perfect for enjoying a drink before or after watching a film. 

Third Floor Bar at Curzon Kingston 

With deep tones, creating a warmth, this is the perfect place to get comfortable and relax for a few hours. There is a combination of the Mulligan Sofa and Remus armchair. Inside Out Contracts also supplied the Alora floor lamp,setting the scene for luxury and red-carpet treatment.

Second Floor Pizza Restaurant | Bespoke Furniture Designs

The Pizza Restaurant on the second floor captures a contemporary industrial style which complements the metal staircase and large windows. Both banquette seating and bistro side chairs and bar stools compliment solid wood table tops. The Bistro seating has a steel frame and ashwood seating.

The light wood furniture stands out against the white walls and windows. Whilst the black seating, flooring, and metal frames add a dramatic touch.

In the window there is a poseur height table. Inside Out Contracts designed the table to fit the exact measurements of the window.

Working with Curzon and their architects on yet another exciting project was great. Our design department made over 10 furniture designs to match the venue and brand’s special vibe.
