This year our spring London networking evening was held at the fascinating Museum of Brands, which explores how brands shape – and are shaped by – people, culture and society. On the evening we knew that this was going to be a popular event as many of our members’ guests turned up early to enjoy the museum before the networking started.
Upon arrival, the 150 guests were entertained by our house brand, ‘Bemsha Swing’ accompanied by prosecco and nibbles.
Members and their guests had exclusive access to the entire museum, which looks back at the fascinating story of how consumer products and promotion had evolved since Victorian times.
Many of our guests ‘disappeared’ into the amazing “time tunnel” that puts our favourite brands into their historical context, including, royal coronations, two world wars, man landing on the moon and right up to the computer and digital age. There was much reminiscing by members about the brands that they had grown up with as children and which are no longer around.
