Muzeo feature in Andaz Bar & Restaurant

Having been the first Andaz-branded property in the Hyatt portfolio, this hotel holds a special place in the operators heart so much so that the lobby area was handpicked for an extensive makeover. ARA Design decided to bridge the gap between Victorian and contemporary London in their design, and appointed Muzeo to tell the story of the rupture between the architecture and heritage of Shoreditch and its eclectic cosmopolitan life today.

Throughout the public spaces Muzeo curated a collection of unexpected and rebellious mixed media original artworks, hand-painted street art and back-lit installations to create immersive artwork scenes.

Muzeo designed and illustrated the lobby feature fresco and commissioned the artists Jordan Heraut and La Letterie to execute the hand painted contemporary graphic mural. Collaborating with the enigmatic East London collective LeGun to produce the anachronistic reception mural, LeGun illustrated the artwork to which Muzeo printed and installed using the latest thermo-adhesive wallcovering directly to the textured brickwork.

The artwork collection is an elegant, singular yet intriguing visual storytelling between the ideal and surreal by re-imagining the role of art and design in this open lobby space.
