Shackletons: Fosse Way View Luxury Residential Care Home
HC-One partnered with Shackletons to furnish a brand new modern, luxury residential care home for 70 residents in the market town of Bingham in Nottinghamshire. From specifying with the designer, through to project management and delivery, Shackletons worked alongside HC-One to deliver this turnkey solution which included all the soft furnishings, cabinetry, and upholstered furniture.

The Windsor collection and Denia Wing Back Chair were selected for the bedrooms
The building design enabled HC-One to provide residents with the choice of four independent living communities, depending on the level of care needed, with each space having its own unique feel. The designer took inspiration from local architecture, nature and the building’s character.
Upholstery detailing for the cinema seating
For the residents’ cinema, HC-One chose the Mairena Mid and High Back Chairs which work well as they offer two different seat heights. The curved design offers good support for the body and head, whilst adding a little privacy which is perfect for a cinema.

One of the first-floor lounges overlooks a lush green space filled with trees and flowers and HC-One selected the popular Roehampton Sofa alongside the Winchester High Back Chair to give residents different seating options. Occasional furniture such as the Kingston Console table can provide a focal point and add interest as well as offering storage including footstools.

For the bedrooms, the Windsor collection was specified which takes inspiration from the 1920s Arto Deco style, with a stepped cornice and period detailing. The distinctive design of the Denia Wing Back Chair is an elegant addition to the bedroom interiors.
During the design process, HC-One wanted to specify the Messina Side Chair as a dressing table chair for one of the bedroom schemes. However due to bedroom layouts, the seat back sat a little high preventing residents from watching television. Shackletons in-house design team created a brand-new side chair called Grana to solve the problem, which has been added to the Shackletons range.
