Specification Made Simple with Amtico Spacia

As part of the 2022 launch of its new Spacia Woods and Stones LVT designs, Amtico has introduced a wealth of features to the collection to make it easier when specifying beautiful floors in demanding commercial spaces.

The Spacia collection, which comprises 46 Woods and 48 Stones, now boasts an active ingredient to provide antimicrobial protection throughout the useable lifetime of the floor. An ionic silver additive is applied to the urethane coating during production and has been proven under independent tests to reduce bacteria, such as E.coli and MRSA, by 99% over 24 hours.

The LVT planks and tiles come in a variety of sizes including a new 36 x 36” Stone format. As the trend for large-scale floor designs increases, specifiers can choose the new tile size to easily transform larger spaces, such as retail and hospitality environments. The tile format is also perfect for new Spacia Stones, including Terrazzo and Tones.

In addition, the Spacia collection boasts Amtico’s biggest Parquet selection with 74 options in two sizes. To create a traditional aesthetic, designers can choose from 18 Wood colourways, and for a more contemporary feel echoing trends in the ceramic market, there are 15 Stone colourways available from the Marble and Tones palettes.

Elsewhere in the collection, Spacia can also be specified with Acoustic backing, which is applied in production and removes the need for additional underlay, as well as reduces impact sound transmission by up to 18dB. For an extra level of safety, Spacia
is also available to specify with 36+ enhanced slip resistance finish, to meet the requirements of the BS EN 13845 standard, allowing architects to create aspirational spaces within safety guidelines.

Spacia LVT features a 0.55mm high density wear layer, which is backed by a 10-year commercial warranty and accreditations, including M1 building emissions classification.
