Designed to be a new social scene in the famous city, it manages to combine both modernity and history in a move that perfectly affixes it in its location.

The property dates back to 1912 and is located in a historically enriched area of Copenhagen. Visitors to the hotel can truly lose themselves in its surroundings and appreciate the culture of the site. This historical background has consciously influenced the design of the interiors which have been finished to high specification for the delight of visitors. Villa enlisted the brains of Goddard Littlefair to finalise the design and Inside Out Contracts have collaborated with them to complete the scheme to its full glory.

Villa’s aim was to create an inspiring and playful ambience; they believe that contrast is the key to good design, and so Inside Out Contracts’ in-house design team have worked to create bespoke furniture that harnesses both the old and the new. The bespoke pieces respect and reflect the heritage of the building whilst also adding their own contemporary touch and enhancing the luxuriousness of the overall design.

The bespoke bar stools complement the individual finishes and expressions of Villa Copenhagen with all of its art deco chic, befitting of the time in which the building was erected.

Sada bar stools, which can be found on the Inside Out website, sport a discreet timber curved back that adds a unique twist to a very classic bar stool silhouette. They hug the body for comfort with a metal finish and leather upholstery creating that opulent touch. The mixture of shiny metal, smooth wood, and lustrous leather offers a breath of modernity and follows the popular trend of mixed materials that is spanning both interiors and fashion.

These, and the bespoke Veta bar stools, stand upon a central column plinth, which is also seeing a boom in popularity as it offers retro elegance. The Veta stools offer a similar fluidity that create softness against the geometric tiles, high ceilings, and chic lighting of the bar and lounge area. The spindles that make up the backrest and the powder-coated antique brass amalgamate with velvet upholstery to provide the affluence and elegance needed to add but not distract from the interior space of the grand hotel.

The whole hotel uses every facet to envelop guests in its period style, from mirrors and geometry to brass touches and cushioning curves. It is a spectacle to behold and a truly opulent place to stay. They have achieved their value of beauty on a deep and inspiring level in the most literal of visual senses. As Copenhagen itself exudes sustainability, luxury, happiness, and diversity, the hotel fits perfectly into its surroundings.
